alice emily baird
An audio researcher from the uk, with interdisplinary experience across computer science and the arts.

Currently a research Fellow of the ZD.B, supervised by Professor Prof. Björn Schuller
at the ZD.B Chair of Embedded Intelligence for Healthcare and Wellbeing, University of Augsburg, Germany.

Alice Baird is a Fellow of the ZD.B, supervised by Professor Dr. Habil. Björn Schuller at the ZD.B Chair of Embedded Intelligence for Healthcare and Wellbeing, University of Augsburg.
Her research is in the field of intelligent audio analysis and generation.
Utilising machine learning, amongst other computational approaches, Alice is researching (multimodal) non-invasive monitoring of human wellbeing, to personalise the generated soundscape.
Alice has publications as a (co-)author at numerous peer-reviewed scientific conferences and journals in the field of computer audition, and speech analysis.

core research interests: computer audition, ethics in AI, applied machine (deep learning), affective computing, computational paralinguistics, audio generation and sound healing.
qualifications:BA(Hons) Music Technology - 2013, London Metropolitan University. MFA Sound Arts - 2016, Columbia University, New York, in residence at the Computer Music Centre.
